Notes: Jim qualified #1 with a 7.95/208.32 (Top Speed) at Kingdon on February 19 for an eight-car show. Fifteen cars attempted to qualify. He had some luck along the way to the final when both his opponents broke against him. In the final, he beat Shorty Leventon. Towards the end of April, he was at Fremont. In qualifying, he drove both his car and Willie Kinner's. His 7.82/187 in Willie's car qualified second, and he drove his own machine to a 7.90. As he could not drive both cars in eliminations, he concentrated on his own, and Rich Zoucha drove Kinner's car. The two eventually met in the final, and Rich's 8.30/151 beat Jim's 8.39/188.66. |
