Notes: Larry Reyes drove Candies and Hughes car only once at the Gatornationals. Leonard Hughes debuted a new '70 Cuda at the Gatornationals and had asked Roland Leong and Larry Reyes to tune and drive the '69 car there as well. Reyes was able to out qualify the new car with a 7.21/208.8 to Hughes 7.28/202. Reyes then ran 7.15 followed by a Low ET 7.10/207.85 in the semifinal before meeting Leonard in the final. For the final Reyes let Hughes get a big lead before leaving the line, but still almost nipped Hughes's 7.29 with a 7.12. |
