Notes: Marshell was the #8 qualifier at NHRA Gainesville at 6.20/218.44. He could not start in round one, sending Dave Settles on a single. Marshell set Low ET and qualified #1 at IHRA Bristol in June, but broke an oil line and shut off against Pat Dakin in round one. He then went to Oklahoma City's Stars and Stripes Dragway A week later, on June 29, for the fourth NHRA Division 4 race. His 6.68/209.30 qualified #4 in the eight-car field. But in the opening round of competition, he smoked the tires and lost to Dale Wilch. Marshell ran 221.13 at the IHRA Pro-Am event at Rockingham. Ran 229 at IHRA Bristol. |
