Notes: Don Garlits owned this car. Marvin was driving this car at Englishtown in July for a best of three match against Tommy Ivo. He lost the first two races and the match with runs of 7.28/208.33 and 7.16/215.82 that lost to Ivo's 6.89/213 and 6.94/210, but in the final race, both smoked the tires, and Schwartz won with a 7.64/212.26 over Ivo's never say die 7.73/209. Best NHRA national event times of 6.790/214.79. We are assuming they were run in this car. - Photo is accessible via the Original Motorsports Photography page on Facebook. JM |
