Notes: Car formerly driven by Clare Sanders. Bob was at Bear Creek, Pa., for a best-of-three-match race against Mel Perry on August 11. In their first race, the Camaro's 7.98/168 beat the 'Cuda's close 8.01/176.89. "Lime Fire" broke on the line in the second race, and Perry ran 7.77/180 to win the match race. But Fulp came back out to make a solo run, and he tied the track record with a 7.70 at 181.60. He raced as an alternate at the 1968 OCIR Mfg. Meet. -- RH |
