Notes: Unblown Buicks mounted side by side. 87 inch Kent Fuller chassis. Once Ron Pellegrini purchased the Twin Buick from Tom Ivo, it was campaigned as the SpeedCraft Twin Buick. On 2/05/1960, Tommy became the first 8-second run (8.95) on gas. Set new world speed record at 170.45 at Lions on March 13/1960, then reset it at Lions on 4/23/60 at 172.74, and then reset it at 173.07 at Lions on 5/14/60. Did Tom really go 193.54 in 1960? |
