Notes: AKA Satch Nottle. Photo from the 1975 NHRA Gatornationals, Gainesville, Florida. But Walt never drove the car. He had had a heart attack several weeks before the event, and when that was discovered, he was not allowed to drive. Bill Flurer took him to the airport immediately. Don Roberts was in attendance, but did not take the wheel until a match race at Epping, NH, shortly thereafter. Don crashed the car at Epping, ending his career and completely destroying the car. |
