Notes: Ron qualified #13 at Martin, Michigan, for the PHR Championships with a 6.31. His 6.55 advanced when Jim Bucher's Chevy-powered car broke a rear end in the opening round of eliminations. In round two, his 6.57 fell to Dave Settles' 6.28. He was the 10th alternate at 6.35/225.56 at the 1974 NHRA US Nationals.
