Notes: 1990 NHRA Div. 3, Milan, MI. Qualified 3rd at 6.20/225. Defeated Al DaPozzo in Round 1 with a 6.20/229.59 but lost to Gary Rettel in semis, 6.16/231 to 6.24/234. Best times from The Drag Racing List, Fall 90, Volume 5, Number 4. | Danny qualified #5 at Indy for the NHRA US Nationals with a 6.06/230.00. A first-round 6.10/227.33 beat Herb Rogers' 6.24/222. In the second round, his 6.05/230.71 dropped Dave Sebring's 6.08/229. He made his best run of the weekend in the semifinals, where a 6.03/231.60 beat a centerline crossing, Jody Austin. This moved him into the final, where he would face Pat Austin. Unfortunately, Townsend made his worst run in the final, a 6.16/229.18 that finished second best to Pat's 6.00/234. |
