Notes: At the NHRA D1 WWCS in Cayuga, Ontario, Canada, DeAngelis defeated Carl Miller with an 8.69/153.83 in the Quarterfinals & Lost to eventual winner FJ Smith when DeAngelis red-lit away an 8.70/153.59. At the NHRA Budweiser Springnationals in Columbus, DeAngelis made the second round, where his 8.81/149.85 lost to #9 Qualifier Jim Van Cleve. At the NHRA WWCS Budweiser Super Stock Nationals, DeAngelis red lit away 8.73/152.54 against Allen Stanfield in the Quarterfinals. At the Molson Grandnational, DeAngelis qualified #9 with an 8.568 (0.432 under). His 8.57/155.03 defeated #21 Qualifier Bob Kaiser in round 1. In Round 2, he faced #3 Qualifier Cotton Perry, where DeAngelis's 8.66/159.79 was no match for the eventual Winner, Perry. At the Keystone Nationals, DeAngelis qualified #2 with an 8.436 (0.564 under) & ran #18 qualifier Don Witmer in Round 1, where DeAngelis red-lit away an 8.52/155.49. DeAngelis set the C/A Nationals ET Record with an 8.51 during the Pennsylvania Dutch Classic, where he qualified #6 and defeated #25 qualifier Paul Donahue in the final with an 8.68/147.78. |
