Notes: This car was formerly owned by Charlie Garrett of Garrett’s Automotive in Hanover, PA. Garrett sold the car to Vinny Barone, and Widmeyer purchased the car from Barone. In the early 1990’s, the car was campaigned in Super Comp 8.90 index racing with a 355 SBC. The car was destroyed in a testing accident at Mason-Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown, MD in 1992. | At the NHRA Southern Nationals, Widmeyer qualified #26 & red lighted away a 8.80/152.69 against #10 Qualifier Buddy Ingersoll in Round 1. Ran NHRA US Nationals. At the NHRA Keystone Nationals, Widmeyer qualified #30 & Ran #14 Qualifier Gary Brown in round 1 where Robby put up a 8.64/154.58 losing effort. |
