Notes: Tod was at Cecil County on May 12 for an eight-car show. His 7.11/199.59 in the first round beat Dave Schmidgall's 7.73/182. In the semi-final, his 7.05/200.00 lost to Jon Paris's 6.86/205. Tod qualified #7 with a 6.97/202.24 at the NHRA WWCS in Budds Creek and was to face #3 qualifier John Paris in round 1, but he broke. Then, at the KMart/Polaroid US All Pro Funny Car Championships at Englishtown, Mack ran Leroy Dewdney in Round 1, hitting 7.02/210.77 in a losing effort to Dewdney's 6.87/209.54. In the consolation round, Mack ran John Paris. Tod ran his best of the day at 6.81/214.28 in a losing effort to Paris's 6.55/213.52. If anyone knows any better numbers for Mack in 1985, it would be appreciated. - Rob McCabe |
