Notes: Vega originally started as an AA/FA. It is a Lindblad chassis. He stretched the frame and we made longer brackets for the rearend mount. It had a 392. We were helped on the engine build by King and Marshall. D+D performance helped as the sponsor. It was the shortest car in the country at 101 in long. - Paul Miller |

Notes: AKA Rainmaker. The Hardie and White Camaro was Bruce Larson's old car. That car was also powered with a 392. We sold this car in 1972. - Paul Miller | This car was seen in footage from Epping Grand American 1972. Movie was called Burn On. |

Notes: Nick was in Seattle for the second NHRA Division 6 race in the first week of May. In the opening round of eliminations, his 6.51/212.76 defeated Gordie Bonin's 6.57/233. But a troubled 8.65/97.19 in the semifinal lost to Jim Moore's 6.43/210. On September 7, Nick qualified #6 with a 6.69/196.50 at the NHRA Divisional race at Jackson County Sports Park. He had problems in the first round and shut down to an 8.35 that lost to the race's eventual winner, Raymond Beadle, in the "Blue Max." At Seattle for the NHRA Fallnationals, Nick qualified #13 with a 6.409/227.84. He got around Ron Colson, driving the "Hawaiian" in the first round with a 6.76/213.27 when Ron shut off. But in round two, his 6.56/219.51 lost to Dale Armstrong's 6.36/232.55. Former Pacemaker car. |

Notes: Non-flip-top Camaro. Originally listed as 8.681/171.42. Replaced those with times from OCIR Mfg. Meet at 11/25/67. We need to confirm that those times were run in this car. Ran 8.30/172.80, 8.01/185.18, and 7.94/180.72. | Dick was at Thompson on July 3 for a best of three match against Bill Lawton. The Mustang driver was considered one of the top FCs at the time. Dick didn't let that bug him as he beat Lawton three straight. In their first race, Harrell got out on Lawton and won with an 8.69. The second race saw Harrell run 8.14/169.17 to win, and in the final race, Bill finally got the jump on the Camaro, but Dick drove around him to win with an 8.43/165.74. It was hard to believe the engine was a stock 427 Chevy except for a Howards cam and the injectors. Manufacturers Meet, Orange County CA 11/25/67 |

Notes: Dick had his new Camaro at OCIR for a best of three match raced against Fred Goeske in February. In their first race, Harrell fouled and slowed to a 9.13 loss. He came back to win the second race to even the match. But in the third race, he was slightly late off the line, and his 8.14/174.75 lost to Goeske's 8.17/171. He lost to Al Vanderwoulde in a match race at Kansas City on April 7. He went to OCIR on May 4 for the Funny Car Team Championships. He won his first-round race with an 8.17 but lost soon after and didn't reach the final. Vanderwoulde and Harrell had a rematch at Minneapolis a month later (May 12) that had Harrell come out on top. Both Al and Dick pulled wheelstands in their opening race, but Harrell won with a 9.37/170.13 to Vanderwoulde's 9.48. Harrell made two straight with his track record 8.01 at 184.04 over Al's 8.39/179. Dick set both ends of the track record at Detroit Dragway while winning the AHRA Grandnationals later in May. His final round 7.84/184.04 beat Dick Loehr's 8.16/160. He ended the month at Green Valley Raceway for an eight-car show. In the opening round, his 7.99/178.92 beat Don Biggers. His 8.02/170.13 defeated Ron Leslie in the "High Country Cougar in the semifinal." He faced Larry Reyes, driving the "Super 'Cuda" in the final. The two had a great race, but Larry's 7.93/177 got the victory over Harrell's 8.03/182.54 (Top Speed) runner-up effort. Shortly after that (June 2), he was at Gary, Indiana's US 30, for a six-car show. All the cars were to make three runs. His 8.25/178 beat Ron O'Donnell's 8.25/173 in the "Mr. Norm" Charger in his first race. He ran his best time of the day, a 7.91/180, in winning his second-round match against Arnie Beswick. His only loss came in the third race, where Dick's 8.20/173 lost to "Dyno Don" Nicholson's 7.76/180. Harrell ran 7.79/184.04 at Bristol, but on July 10 at Atco, he set both ends of the track record with 7.68/188.68. Also ran 7.68 at Detroit. Flip-top Camaro.
