Notes: Ran 6.510/217.91 at Gainesville, Ran 6.470 at Columbus for his best NHRA national event times. Roger's first non-Mopar-bodied funny car. | Lindamood was at Green Valley Raceway in February for its Funny Car opener. It was an eight-car show, and in the first round, his 6.59/211 beat Larry Gould's SOHC-Ford-powered car. Unfortunately, he lost to eventual winner Dale Emery in the semifinal. At Gainesville, for the NHRA Gatornationals, he qualified #10 and quickly had Billy Meyer (who had failed to qualify) knocking at his door, attempting to "buy" his position in the field. Roger did not sell. He advanced past the first-round when Rick Johnson lost fire in the "Bear Town Shaker." In round two, Tom McEwen broke off the line against him, and Roger advanced with a 6.51/217. Luck was still on his side in the semifinals, where you would've thought he was done. Roger pulled to the line against Don Prudhomme, and the "Snake" did the unthinkable; he fouled! While that was great, the bad part was that Lindamood blew his engine on the run. His next stop was at Rockingham for the IHRA Pro-Am Championships. He qualified for the sixteen-car show but lost to Dale Pulde in the opening round of eliminations. He was at Columbus for the NHRA Springnationals, but his 6.47 best failed to crack into the field that had a 6.39 "bump."The following week (June 19), he went to Bristol for the IHRA Springnationals. He qualified #14, but he got out of shape and lost to Dale Emery in the opening round of eliminations. Lindamood was at Milan in July for the IHRA Northern Nationals, but he failed to crack the eight-car field's 6.59 "bump." |

Notes: Ran nitro a couple of times. Qualified at AHRA Spokane 87, actually leaving Don Prudhomme out of the show. Prudhomme went 6.67, and Doc went quicker since he outqualified Don. But Doc had a huge fire and crashed at the top end, resulting in a concussion. Prudhomme got into the show. This ended Doc's nitro career. | Crashed at the 1987 AHRA World Finals in Doc's final race. Qualified #8 and bumped Don Prudhomme. - Travis Liscombe |

Notes: The car burned badly at OCIR. Mert was competing at OCIR's East-West Meet in early October. He left the line and the car went into a wheelstand. He got off the pedal and the car crashed down hard, throwing the body off the chassis. The chassis ended up doing a number of rolls before coming to a flaming stop. Luckily, Littlefield was OK. |

Notes: After an early-season DNQ at the Winternationals, the team's best times in NHRA national event competition were at the World Finals at OCIR, running 6.247/238.72. Apparently they found two tenths a month later! | Re-licensed at the Grand Premier where Chi-Town ran 6.13s/14s. Littlefield was on the track right after the gates opened, you could hear the dry hops from the parking lot. 6.05 at the Manufacturer's Meet over Sherm Gunn 1st Rd, lost traction off the line on a Rd. 2 single. - Joe Moore |

Notes: Mert failed to qualify at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals with a 6.549/224.99 sixth alternate effort. At the Bakersfield March Meet, his 6.24/238.72 qualified #7 for the eight-car field. He had problems in round one and shut off to 9.27 in a loss to Henry Harrison. At the 64 Funny Cars event at Orange County in April, Mert ran 5.96/240. He was the seventh alternate at NHRA Fremont at 6.194/230.17. At the World Finals at OCIR, Mert ran 5.970/240.64 to claim the second alternate position. |

Notes: Photo from Indy 1984. After starting the year with a crash and explosion on a qualifying run at Pomona during the NHRA Winternationals, Mert came back in this Tempo. On June 3, he won an eight-car show at Carlsbad. Littlefield had never run at Carlsbad before this. He ran 6.16/231 in his first-round race to beat Henry Harrison's quicker 6.06/206, and in his next race, he set Low ET with a 6.05 at 223.22 to beat Jim Holtz. The final was run between the two Low ET cars, so Harrison was again lined up against Littlefield. Once again, Mert had the "win" light come on in his lane; a 6.18/235 got him the victory. Littlefield's best of 6.026/235.60 was the fourth alternate at Indy for the NHRA US Nationals. He qualified #15 at the World Finals with a 5.963/239.36. He lost a round one match to Don Prudhomme, 6.80/250 to Mert's 6.142/242.58. DId Mert run 5.93 somewhere this year? |

Notes: Photo from Indy 1991. Gary attempted to qualify at Memphis for the NHRA Mid-South Nationals, but his 5.57/256.26 best was good for first alternate. The 5.57 was a career best to this point, but he did record a 5.43 at a match race, but he discounts it. At the NHRA Springnationals, he qualified on the "bump" with a new best of 5.55/259.96. A first-round 5.58/259.51 lost to Jim White's 5.39/277. He did not run another NHRA event until Indy for the NHRA US Nationals. There he was third alternate with a best of 5.56/258.69. |

Notes: Gary qualified last in the eight-car field at Darlington for the IHRA Winternationals with a 6.04/210. In the first round, his car was ailing, and as he was only able to run 11.74, which lost to Paul Smith's 5.78. Litton qualified #14 at Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals with a 5.48/268.09. He lost an engine in the first round, and fell to Whit Bazemore. At Bristol for the IHRA Springnationals at the end of May, a 6.29/171.55 qualified #7 in the eight-car show. He picked up to a 5.69/244.76 in the first round, but it wasn't enough to beat Smith's 5.47/268. After that, he went to Memphis for NHRA's Mid-South Nationals. Gary ran 5.74/201.97 to qualify #14, but he lost to Gordon Mineo in the first round. He qualified on the "bump" at the NHRA Springnationals with a 5.81. A 5.90/225.22 in the first round, lost to low qualifier Chuck Etchells' 5.26/275. Photo from Bristol, TN, 1992. |

Notes: Steve didn't run nitro until 1990. He ran these numbers at an IHRA event that year. We need to determine how the Tempo fit in to the timeline with the J. Ed Horton T-Birds. Steve did not run any NHRA national events in 1990. |

Notes: Was this a fuel car? Did not think that Steve ran fuel until 1990. We need confirmation. |

Notes: Was this the '72 car or the Mustang II? Dennis got his license in Shirl Greer's car, according to Brian Greer. |
