The next closest AA/FA was Willie Borsch, two tenths back at 7.313. | Sullivan won the Tom Ferraro benefit race at Irwindale on June 6. It was an eight-car show and his 7.35/191.88 in the opening round beat Bob Hankins' 7.55/200 in the "Blue Blazer." In the semifinals, his 7.31/191.88 beat Harry Burkholder's 7.47/205.
