Notes: Hart primarily ran this potent coupe at Santa Ana during the 1957 season. On Jan. 6, they won the Strip Coupe, O.H. class and took the trophy for the meet's top speed with 129.36 mph. They took top eliminator honors on Jan. 27, but rain-soaked timing equipment kept racers from learning their times. When Santa Ana joined the fuel ban and ran gas-only races, Hart had to conform and run gas instead of fuel. He won the Strip Coupe, O.H. class, running on gas, with 126.20 mph which was the top speed of the meet on Mar. 17. He was barely nosed out by Rice Auto's Merc-powered A/D in top eliminator. In a losing effort he turned 11.2 at 126.06 mph, while Rice Auto ran 124.00 mph to win. At the big meet at Santa Ana on Mar. 24, they ran, but were beaten during the races by Bader & Ferreira and had to bow out. On May 5, he won the Modified Coupe class with 127.62 mph. He then faced the Hess and Winslow B/R for the top eliminator final. Hart took the win with 124.50 mph. In an earlier elimination run, Hart beat the Walker & Rurup A/D with 122.05 mph.
