Notes: Larry qualified #1 at the 3rd NHRA Division 4 race at Green Valley with a 6.27. It was pretty impressive considering that #2 qualifier was Raymond Beadle in the "Blue Max" at 6.31. Unfortunately, Larry lost early and Beadle went on to win. |

Notes: Brown was at Green Valley Raceway's opener in March. Ten cars ran, and in round one, his 6.49 beat Chip Woodall. Unfortunately, the run hurt some parts, and he was unable to return in the semifinal. On April 16, he was back at Green Valley for the second NHRA Division 4 race. His 6.62/214.28 qualified on the "bump" for the eight-car field. He lost to Billy Meyer in round one. He qualified #8 at the NHRA Cajun Nationals at 6.770/209.79. Larry then lost an amazing first-round match against Tom Anderson. Anderson's 6.770/216.34 just held off Brown's right-there 6.780/218.44. He then went to Tulsa for the AHRA Springnationals but failed to qualify for the eight-car field. He ran a best of 6.44/222.22 at Kansas City for the AHRA Show-Me Nationals. Larry ran 6.80 at the Ozark Nats on 7/04/78. He then traveled to Baton Rouge in July for the final NHRA Division 4 race. Only six cars showed for what was supposed to be an eight-car field. He beat Jim White in the "Tulsa Oiler" in the first round, with a 6.95/206. But the car broke in the semifinal, and he was unable to run eventual winner Tom Anderson. |

Notes: Vic Brown was runner-up to Gene Snow at York 1970 NHRA Summernationals in this car (7.47 to Snow's winning 7.27). He won an Englishtown Funny Car show at a Low ET/Top Speed 7.43/198.23 over Tom Sneden in the Bob Banning Dodge. Early in September, he was at Englishtown for its Fallnationals. There was an eight-car field of FCs, and in round one, Vic's off-pace 8.51/190.67 lost to Arne Swensen's 7.86/180. He did not run in the semi-final, yet somehow got lined up against "Jungle Jim" Liberman in the final. JJ's 7.30/201 got the win over his 7.61/184.04. Soon after that (September 20), Vic was at Epping for the New England FC Nationals. It was a 32-car show, and in the first round, he lost to JJ. He got back in the show when Tom Sneden broke after winning his first-round race. He didn't get to stick around long as he again lined up against Liberman and lost again. This time JJ's 7.03/207 put his 7.43/203 on the trailer for good. Brown qualified with a 7.59 at Dallas International for the NHRA World Finals. In the opening round, he made an easy run when Jake Johnston broke a transmission in the "Blue Max." In the second round, he lost to Ed McCulloch's 6.86. | AKA Black Shadow. Why is Ray Beadle's number shown? Pretty sure this was Vic. Is 426 an AHRA number? Vic's NHRA number is 403. | Best NHRA national event time was 7.395/197.36. Formerly listed as 214.00, but that is likely incorrect. Let us know otherwise. |

Notes: Rob failed to qualify at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals. At Baton Rouge for the NHRA Cajun Nationals, his 6.63/221.13 qualified #7 for the eight-car show. He got a solo in the opening round of eliminations when Ron Colson, driving the "Hawaiian," broke. But in the semifinal, his 6.91/171.42 lost to Billy Meyer's 6.41/211. The team then went to Columbus for the NHRA Springnationals, where they failed to qualify. Ran 6.96 at Firebird. |

Notes: Car ran 67 through 70. An ad in Drag News late in 1969 for a race at OCIR gives a best ET for this car at 7.61 at 191 mph. I would guess these are 1969 stats. - DD Confirmed 8.02 Boise |

Notes: Bucher only raced the AA/FC for a short time, preferring to run his Top Fuel instead. The Funny Car was sold to Frank Manzo, who converted it to a BB/FC. The team did not run any NHRA national events in 1973. |
