if cooling isnt an issue ,why not use the water jackets for the hot gasses .cutting a hole into the bottem of the liner and using a reed still intake valve would cause a vuccum right?
So how would we route the exhuast ?It would have to be near the bottem of the down stroke .Also would we keep it water cooled?The more i think on it ,it may be doable..
I have always used timken ,and tried different kinds of packing grease in the bearing and hub. What drag weight are you looking for ?
I was told by an old timer petroleum jelly was what he used ,so i gave it a shot and liked it .But keep in mind you will have to check the hubs frequently.
