Hi, everyone. Working day and night all week. In fact, just got off the work computer and transferred over to the 'fun' computer. Will try to get some sunshine in tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day to all our moms! bp
Morning. 53/78 today with severe thunder storms coming a little after the noon hour. I have to get the tree planted this morning and the neighbor guy wants to help so I will let his young back do all the mule work. I am in charge of the landscaping at the church and I found a deal at Walmart yesterday with Japanese maple trees and other bushes. They had just delivered them and I got the pick of the litter. $37 dollars for a red Japanese maple tree is a steal so I loaded the truck up. Picked up my BIL and we went to lunch then returned to his house so I could look at his electrical problems in his garage. He has only one outlet in the double garage so Steve and I are going to remedy that next week. Well, the help will be arriving soon so I have to go.
Another day of bachelorhood. I'm taking the day off from signs to get more done on the dust collectors. Dark gray day so far @ 51.3°f. They say the temp will stay low today.

Got some stuff done on the dust collector today. Started at 5 and finished up @ midnight. I'm pooped. My fit bit said I took 23,500 steps today. I've been having a brain freeze trying to figure out a way to unhook the dust barrel without it being a major undertaking. I thought of making a lift mechanism to raise the drum under the separator. Looked at what others have done on youtube, but everything I saw looked complicated or clunky, or would take too much time to fabricate. Then I got the idea to grind the divider out of a coupling so the tube would slide all the way through. Slide on Slide off, and it even works. Sometimes simple is best. Made a floor dust picker upper too.

Afternoon folkz. First off you need to post it on YouTube so everyone can have such a quick hookup, second what are the gray clamps with the thumb wheel ???? and third I would have expected nothing less from you. Amazing! Your brain is just wired a little (?) different than most people, does it ever stop? 75 and sunny today and after the rain it is a might humid. Breakfast, church, over to BIL's for Mother's Day lunch then back home to watch recorded NASCAR race but Sharon got a call from her oldest son so we stopped watching and Sharon was talking. She is flying high now!!!!!!!
Tankz' Wheelz'. The gray thingies are blast gates. You can open and close them as needed. Open just the one connected to the tool you want to use, so you don't waste vacuum. Sucks better. I build a lot more projects in my mind than I do in the real world Too much to do, too little time. I went out to lunch after church with a couple ladies from our regular "lets go out for lunch after church" crowd. We were the only 3 that had nothing better to do on Mother's Day. Cheryl will head home in the morning. She mentioned planting a couple lilac bushes when she gets home to replace the big one from the backyard that took off for someplace in Kansas during the tornado. So, I went to Menards after lunch & picked up a couple for Mother's Day. She'll be happy.
