[quote="WildcatOne Zappy, I thought about you A LOT during that game. I am going to enter counseling next week after going through that disturbing FOUR HOUR GAME. So is everybody else in town. 3 major topics here since...the non-touchdown that was upheld by the challenge flag snafu, the missed field goals and turnovers in OVERTIME, and Ndamukong Suh's kick to Schaub's package. Weird rule that I'd never heard of gave the Texans that score. It would have been overturned by mandatory replay on a scoring play, but well, OK. We took the points and that got us back in the game. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson were unbelievable, and we were lucky to get out of there with a win. The Texans are banged up and exhausted now and the schedule looms before them. What they have going for them is that they are a complete team...they have depth at every position, and they are well-practiced. But still (and everybody everywhere agrees), that rule is not right and that shouldn't have been a touchdown...I heard they will do an interview with Schaub once his voice drops back down a couple of octaves...[/quote]

Yeah, that touchdown, that wasn't a touchdown, gave us fits. We wanted the sub refs back. That was SO wrong.
I texted you when we first scored a couple times for some friendly ribbing, but maybe I have the wrong cell number.
Anyway congrats on the win sir. It made the game even more fun to watch, trying to beat you.

The Lions' day will come. They're great.

I guess I forgot to say I don't have a cell phone anymore...

Anyway, I'm still giving thanks every day. Glad you had a good one, Zap! WC1

Us too WC. We've had some time think about the talk with the doctor after surgery.
We've concluded to NOT TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED.

I joined a Facebook group that a friend from high school days and college started. She awakened me to notice many subtle and gentle reminders about how short life is (or can be) and how every day counts...to make the most of our best qualities and share them with others. Over the course of the last few months, it has changed my life. I'm often in situations whee it's not cool to be a nice guy, and when I do, my nice guy personality is usually met with scorn. I've learned to shine it on and not let others' negativity influence my thoughts no matter how tempting it is to join them. I still believe in not only giving thanks every day but to look for and do good deeds and not ask for or expect anything in return. I appreciate your post that hovers close to this new and sometimes difficult method of thought, ProZ. It is a good way to live. Best to you and Cheryl. WC1
