We went over to Quaker City for their monthly nostalgia race Saturday. Not a huge car count, but quite a few cars showed up. I didn't get a complete count, but there must have been more than 20 because they split the classes up in Nostalgia A-D and Outlaw and I was told that we'd all run together if there was less than 20 cars. Unfortunately there were only 3 cars in A, so we only had 2 rounds of racing.

First time trial was a slightly hairy ride with the car getting loose serveral times mid track - 8.65 @157. We decided not to run the second time run since we dial .1 under our best time and I figured an 8.55 would be about right at this track. For first round the little girl in staging picked the right card and I got the bye run - I just took the tree and idled down the track. I had my work cut out for me in the final. We had nearly identical reaction times, I ran an 8.57 on my 8.55 dial, he ran a 9.68 on his 9.65 dial - I took the stripe first by .005.

Upcoming race schedule:
- 8/7 - Nostalgia Funny Car Nationals - Marion County Raceway.
- 8/14 - Night of Fire Nostalgia Class - Quaker City Raceway.
- 8/20-22 - Goodguy's Blue Suede Cruise - Norwalk (Summit Raceway Park)
