Opened the package from my landlord today. Here is what I found inside it.

Here is the hood burst panel out in the sun. See if it looks any nicer out in the sun.

Today's stuff was to install the clutch, bell housing, trans, and dirshaft

Nice looking valve covers. Too bad they won't work on the car.

That (decal) looks like it should fit.

Valve Covers, can the "vent" be welded up or are there more obstructions than that one?

After an evening of grinding it "Almost" fit. :D I was giving it a bit more, and went thru in the corner. At first I thought, well ok so it needs a patch. Then I went ahead and cut enough away to clear for real. The resulting hole is in the photo. It also still rubs a little on the rockers, so I scrapped the whole idea of using these. I called and ordered a fabricated style that will just slip right on with no evening of grinding and guessing.

Wish we wooda been able to find the "Nicer set free on craigslist" for our valve covers. We opted for the nicer, but more expensive ones from Mikee.

In the stock car days of the 80's, the crew would sometimes finish the car in the trailer on the way to the event. :D
