Not that I am holding my breath, but I am "hoping" to venture off to Phenix City next Saturday to try my hand at the Classic Gasser's 5.99 index B/Gass class. "Normally", Phenix City runs on Sundays, during the early afternoon... but due to the heat we have been having down here, the track operator and the head of the Classic Gassers, Steve "Wiley Coyote" Fountain, have arranged to have our event at night. (gates open @ 5)
Hopefully a couple of sign jobs I have in the pipeline will mature and I can make the trip and get a few laps on Peggy...preferably with better results than I had last year over there

One thing I will NOT have any issues with, is my new tranny brake button....Last year, against the Alabama Outlaw, my gloved finger slipped off of the side of my old large, mushroom shaped button and I had a real bad red light. Earlier today I swapped in my new concave style large button (between a nickle and a quarter in size). I put my glove on my right hand and put the button through its paces (albeit without any power turned on) and am extremely happy with the action and the slightly revised location. I just "thought" my other button was comfortable to reach.... (Imagine your hands at about 9:30 and 2:30, rather than the recommended 10 and 2 or 3 and 9...then extend your right "bird" finger...and there is my button. I never have to take my hand off of the steering wheel and I also don't have to contend with a pain in the derrier coiled cord wrapping around the steering collum) When I see a flash, it will be like pulling a trigger... YEE HAW!!
