LL is on it now. We are going to Tenn. at CHRISTMAS. On the way home we will try to do a fact finding mission on hotels in Bowling Green area.

On a side note, if you get the chance, be sure to check out The Inn At-Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge.

http://www.booking.com/hotel/us/the-inn ... tal;ucfs=1&

We stayed there when the place was brand new, they didn't even have all the rooms finished yet. There's a 2 story Grandfather clock/Fireplace combo in the foyer that plays a tune on the quarter hour. Doors open like a coo coo clock & Christmas characters come out to sing. The breakfast is unbelievable. You walk in a big room and there's buffet everywhere. Each corner has a chef & staff , each with a different specialty. It's near impossible to leave there hungry. Every room is a different Christmas theme. Ours had a kitchen, living room, bedroom, fireplace, jacuzzi, big screen T.V. in the bedroom and the living room, WiFi. balcony, the list goes on.
Even if you don't stay there it's worth a walk-through.

WOW Pro Z that sounds real sharp. If it's not TOO pricey that would be COOL. I'll pass on the info for LL to check on.
In fact I'm gonna try to do a walk thru on our way home. I wanna see that clock/fireplace you mentioned in the lobby.

Yea, it was a one nighter for us, just to say we've been there. We went a few years back with Jeff, our daughter Jenni, her husband & his folks. Stayed there on the way home from Gatlinburg. Pretty neat place though, especially if your a Christmas decorating connoisseur.

If your driving by, it's still worth a walk through the foyer just to see the clock. If you walk past the front desk you have to go to the far end of the foyer. If I remeber right the fireplace is sorta' in the middle of the room & the clock is on the back side away from the front desk. There's like a lounge area back there in front of the fireplace/clock. When it chimes people come out of their rooms and watch it from the balcony.

Another place is the Gaylord Resort it has an absolutely beautiful gardens in the center with waterfalls, dancing water, flowers and flora of all sorts. It is $245 and up a night so I just walk by and hold on to my credit card.

2016 up-date: Ok gang, LL says Pigeon Forge is too far away from Bowling Green, 4 hrs. We don't want to drive 4hrs to track, spend the day & night, then 4hrs back to hotel, do we ??

LL says Nashville is only 1 hr from BG.

So, Do we want to stay in Bowling Green Ky. or Nashville Tenn. ?? So she knows where to research, lodging &, sights to see / things to do.
