2x on B.G. I'd say find something close to the track & we can then travel to the Tourist spots.

Bowling Green attractions:

Okay here is how I feel.
No. 1 I checked for rooms in Bowling Green and several motels only have one to three rooms left for that date. I think waiting till December is going to put us out of Bowling Green or out of our comfort level as to price.
No. 2 Nashville has more to offer as far as things to do.
No. 3 Being in Bowling Green means a two hour round trip to Nashville if anyone is going that way and we are only spending one day at the track.
No. 4 If anyone is going to Nashville then to Bowling Green book two different motels for several days each.

How do you feel? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Wheelz, those are 3 good things to do in the BG area. Plus Fri. night is the HALL OF FAME induction. The guys will like that, but the girls will
probably not find it interesting. A lot of history stuff about the inductees.

I did not know that they,(the BG hotels) were taking bookings already. Often hotels will not resv. a yr in advance. We may have to split up??

Also the Idea of staying a couple nights in BG, and a couple nights in Nashville is sure possible. There's no rule that says we have to stay put in one town. Don't know yet what there is to see/do in Nashville, that we would like, but I'll have LL check into that.

(ps) LL is going away today on a ladies retreat so it will be several days.

Since it's a day drive for us, We're kind of thinking (Now this is a long way off so plans could change) but we're thinking we may not put in a full week at BG, maybe head that way Wed. or Turs.? We'd still end up with about the same net days at DLN's, just less road time. Then tacking those days on our Anniversary vacation. But like I said it's all up in the air right now.
If we have to book this far in advance we may have to give serious thought to our plans now rather than later.

Great stuff, everyone! We are in on whatever... I think it would be great to do the induction ceremony and all the drag stuff. Don't know what the host hotel is there in BG but that would be the place to stay if we could. We are actually going to be staying somewhere with you this year, but we are totally open to anything (a few nights in BG, a few days in Nashville, whatever). We are good with whatever. The events in BG are a lot of fun. bp

I'M open to the "split' stay. Some time / sight seeing, in Nashville, and then BG for the Racing stuff.

Also that would let some just come for the BG/Racing part if they so choose. They could get to BG Thur. nite. Fri.Go to the Corvette musem, or
Assembly plant, or both if doable in one day. Then Fri night, women SHOP, guys go to the inductee ceremony. Sat the track Sun. Farwell brunch.

Cave city that Darryl suggested seems interesting. This one is starting sound like the first Cordova event. We were only all together at the final breakfast

Well, we definitely don't want that! I know that Daryl and Heidi will probably be racin'! We will need to keep up with them at the track and pending pit space, that might just be our hangout there... definitely must get together on the other stuff as that's what makes it so much fun! OK to separate now and then as we did this last time, but I sure do want plenty of hanging out together! bp
