Bill, it depends on the type of racecar they are talking about. If it is a mechanical fuel injected car, the main "PILL" is what controls the amout of fuel going to the engine.
If he says I am gonna lean on it and throw a bigger pill in there, he is going to go from 100 to a 110 pill. The bigger the number, the larger the hole for fuel to flow thru.
So in the above example, you need to remember Fuel Injection works under pressure, so it is backwards from a carb. The main "PILL" is actually what you are flowing back to the tank, or not putting into the engine. So by going to a larger hole, letting more fuel flow back to the tank. He is leaning out the engine to make more power.
