Good info. Only difficulty of the Akron Airport is the potential for direct flights. But might be able to get to Detroit and then a hop... last time I flew in there I saw the ground the entire way... bp

DLN 2017

May 29, 2017 is Memorial Day. That said we can start the festivities on the Wednesday/Thursday before if you would like. We need input on this for planning the schedule. Input, Johnny Five, input!!!!!!!!!!!
May 24th is National Brother Day
May 28th is National Burger Day
May 28th is also National Funny Car Day... no I just made that up but we will still celebrate it anyhow.

Okay, the nearest airport is Canton/Akron or CAK. This is the airport you need to use.
Canton, Ohio is centrally located to all of the events and is approximately 1 hour from any venue on the schedule.

Planning already underway and the following is on the schedule:

Okay gang I had a brilliant idea.... well an idea. I have been searching the local B&B to see if that would be an option. What do youz guyz think of that? What would be the max price you would be willing to pay for a room each night? I think the lowest price would be around $100 a night if we can do it. Or do you just want to stay at a less expensive location? The place below has enough space for us and seems rather nice but I would check it out personally if you decide to stay there. The rooms are $129 and up but I could see if they would do $100 with reservations for six rooms? I will continue to search but you need to let me know the price break so I know where to go. Thanks.

In May.Does that mean none of the teachers can go? We'd need to travel on U.S.Memorial Day? Can't get anywhere in the area on less the two flights.

Teachers are flying in for the weekend as I understand it.
They need to chime in here so we can make plans to fit their situation.

Our last day is May 26 as a teacher work day and the 25 with kids. We can get direct flights into Cleveland or connecting flights into Akron. I say plan it the way you need too and we can adjust!

Okay Daryl I have a project for you. It needs to be done by the DLN 2017 date so you have lots of time. We can park it right next to the track and watch the races from the porch. The one at 6:11 is what I am talking about. Go get busy buddy!!!!
