 well we managed to make it to the 3rd round in both classes after a crazy day of rain delays, oildowns and a crash. 3rd round pulling under the tower at 2 am!!! We have to invest in a weatherstation to be able to play this game with any hope of getting better as conditions were like a see-saw from bad to good and back to bad every 30 minuites.. plus with all the extra out of town cars for the National Dragster Challenge competing for the Wally in our classes we are really lucky to get out of there in decent shape in the points as some of the other top 6 cars also went out early.. after i get a chance to review the round by round results i will see were we are at.. made 10 total laps on the car with out any mechanical problems again... some driver error and poor dial-in decisions kept us from going deeper.. oh well it was fun and everything is still in one piece to race again in 2 weeks.

 well most racers would become bored quickly running mid 12s at only 105.. we do it mainly because of lack of funds, but honestly i enjoy the game and it gets me out of the house and to the track for free with the goal being going to INDY for the devision finals.. when you are still in the late rounds and half a million dollar operation is loaded and heading home and you beat them and wave to them while sitting in the sun on a hot open trailer fender drinking water from a rinced out milk jug  it feels good

Nice going Doc!!!

One thing I can tell ya about the air, especially Midwest air. Don't get fooled in the evening when the air temp goes down. Everbody goes,,oh the air is better, feel how cool it feels. What they aren't thinking about is,,,,as the temp/sun drops the humidity come back up. In other words the sun burns the humidity out of the air when it is out.

So the air quality {in relation to making horse power} drops not gets better.

Just something to think about when guessing on your dial in.
