Upcoming Events - Support Live Racing!

Postby pro70z28 » Fri Feb 24, 2006 6:18 pm

The big event here is Chassis certification Saturday & Sunday March 25-26. It will be held at the NASCAR track garage across the road from Rt. 66.

I'm shootin' for Saturday to get the "Z" chassis teched.

Can't go Sunday cuz' Jenni's weddin' shower is that day. I've been told to be there, so I better be there.

Good luck, hope they still allow stick welding to pass tech!!

On another board, back in the day. They used to add weight bars with radiator hose clamps and then duct tape over the clamp to hold it on! This passed tech back then. :)

Second Annual Car Show & Drag Race To Benefit Scripps

Postby draglist » Sat Feb 25, 2006 9:41 pm

*Dave's Memory Revs On – Saturday, April 29, 2006 Join Us For The Second Annual Car Show & Drag Race To Benefit Scripps Research Institute*

Join us for this FORD /vs/ CHEVY Showdown. The Factor Foundation of America will be hosting the *Second Annual Dave's Memory Revs On* event in honor of its founder, Dave Madeiros. All proceeds from the day's event will be dedicated to *The Scripps Research Institute* for the research of bleeding disorders.

Dave Madeiros loved Mustangs. He rebuilt them, drove them and appreciated them. Dave also had the bleeding disorder, Hemophilia.
Eventually, after years of planning and dreaming, he founded The Factor Foundation of America http://www.factorfoundation.org/aboutus.html
dedicated to assisting the Hemophilia community by facilitating grants for research, education and clinical support. Sadly, we lost Dave as a result of his long struggle with co-infection, a result of the tainted blood supply of the 1980s. The blood clotting medicine he relied upon for treatment of his Hemophilia, Factor, contained two viruses:
hepatitis C and HIV.

Please join us in a worthwhile effort to discover new and better treatments for bleeding disorders.
