That was a great place...those guys have everything! We could have added some headlight fluid to that hemi and it was supposed to grow if you let it sit overnight. Lippy could have run top fuel by Sunday, but there wasn't anywhere to put the thing so it could expand under a grow-light... 8)
Great sponsorship, Rapid! Hope the fire-up goes great! Cheers, WC1

i remember my first experience with nitro, looking down the headers of john force's car at memphis .when they pulled the fuel lever i thought oh my god!!! i couldn't see or breathe, and all i could think was well.......there are worse ways to die i guess. i should have known something was up when they all started putting thier masks on. live and learn i guess. so do you ever get used to nitro or is it always as bad as that first time?
the police never think it's as funny as i do

 it pretty tough to stand near a car these days FH even if you have been around them alot.. maybe Leon will speak of the volume of fuel going being used compared to years ago.... i still love it tho :D.. the last car running a high % that i got to go to the starting line... i took these shots with out ear plugs much less a mask  but even that was almost 30 years ago...Image
