Well, WC and Vic {Vic knows already} making talk about horsepower and real world horsepower are 2-different things. I think Vic's engine making a real world number of over 800 is pretty stout. In a N/A motor, HP just plain don't come cheap or easy.

Then when you add in the fact every magizine in the land throws out 400-600-800 HP No2 systems as a BOLT ON AND GO, and it just muddys the water when you hear "Real" numbers,,,like Vic's.

I know I didn't tell you guys anything earth shattering news like, but I still think his motor is making good power. JMO

WELL ONE BIG DIFFERENCE FROM THE ORIGINAL
POST WAS, WE WANTED 14.1 COMPRESSION, THIS
MOTOR IS ONLY 13.5 COMP BECAUSE THE HEADS ONLY
GOT MILLED .020, .... THE V TO P CLEARENCE WOULD HAVE
BEEN A LITTLE TO TIGHT ???? WITH MILLING THE
HEADS .030 ,WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE 13.8 COMP

.....THE BIG FLAW ON THIS BUILD WAS NOT CHOOSING
THE CORRECT PISTON.
TO FILL THE HEAD AND HAVE ENOUGH VALVE RELIEF.

Not too shabby a set of numbers, Vic.......sounds to me like it "should" go quicker than those 8.80's or 90's..........I'm gonna try to run in the neighborhood of 8.50's with my junk (n/a on alky)...Time slips will tell.....
(some folks in this neck o da woods think I've lost my mind thinking my ol' nag will run that quick.....but I'm hard headed and willin to try anyway  )

I suppose for those "Less" fortunate souls who don't revel in the sunshine,,,a little pinhole of light coming into the cave would be sufficient!
