 this is the only pic i have showing the tank on my old econheap.I don't recall the capacity.... if it had a radiator i think it could have got 30mpg :P  i could stop without the chute and drive up to the E.T. shack, unbuckle and reach out for the slip and head back to the pit spot without shutting it off unless there was traffic on the return road which would let it get too hot :D Image

That looks very similar to the tank that originally was with my car. It wouldn't fit under the Vette body so I sold it several years ago. Keep in mind Jim, that with that tank being taller, it won't let the fuel slosh as much as, say a shorter, but wider tank of the same capacity.
The important thing is to make sure there is fuel at the tank outlet at all times.
With my 468 motor, I would use about 2 gallons for the burnouts and runs.
The new, 540 motor will probably use a little more once I get the tune up in the ballpark.

Some changes on the front shot. More will happen, no doubt...I keep wanting to put the 3 lines like on the sides on this, right down the middle...Cheers, WC1

Hey Wild Cat, Hmmmmmmm scratch ,..scratch
i think loose the faded orange and make it hugger
looking orange,...see if you can make the stripes wider on hood,
and instead of bringing them to a point,
go for this,...see picture below try it like this.

we are on track, looking good...thank you

Thanks Vic

I was not a big fan of the orange color on there, either, Vic...I made it transluscent so the reflections in the paint would show through, but it faded the orange too much...ya know, I coulda sworn the stripes on the Bardahl Vega came to a point in the front, but I guess not...I'll change that...funny, because I NARROWED the stripes...they were twice that wide...guess the first cut is the deepest! I'll fix this...Cheers, WC1
