i have bought a few issues and like it, more for the cars than the chicks. just not your typical gold chainer bling book.

Got my chassis cert last weekend, so now I'm good to go - at least down to 8.50.

Talked to the upholstery guy about my top. He suggested that I fab a base that bolts to the car and bring it in for him to cover - that way it's removable, and I don't have to take the car to him. So I spent Sunday fabbing a base out of 1/4 luan plywood and getting it bolted in place. I took that over to him yesterday - should have a cloth top to bolt on in a week or so.

C&A called last night to double check pin end measurements and cam location for the final machining on the rods. They should ship out in the next day or so.

I looked around the shop and found enough spare and broken engine peices to put together a 'show' engine. This will let me get the car all ready for the show, then still be able to work on the real engine.

Things are slowing coming together...

I know - I should be posting pics as I go like Rapid - one day I might achieve his level of journalism.. ;)

Got my top back from the upholstery shop and bolted it down. It looks pretty good. A few deviations in the gap between the top and the body as you walk around it due to the warped 1948 ridge that it's bolted to. After an hours worth of tweaking and retrying, I gave up. It's probably one of those things that is noticable to me, but no one else. I keep reminding myself - it's just a race car...

We went out a picked up a Kawasaki Mule last weekend. Now we've got tow vechicle that I don't need to worry about!

Things are going together for the show - move in day is Wednesday, so I need to have to together and cleaned up this weekend.

Perry
