I tried to find a place to mount the new acculumator last night - there's not many places in that little car for a 2 foot long 4" diameter cylinder. I'm thinking about up under the floorboards on the side of the frame. I'd prefer it up front near the filter but I'll have to get the engine in the car to see where the fuel pump and lines are at.
Sometimes I wish I had a wider and longer car

I went over and looked at my buddy Steve's new '33 Willys the other night. The car looks pretty nice - slammed and stretched with widened rear fenders. The ugliest paint job you've ever seen! I forgot to take my phone to snap some pics

We fired it up and played with the barrel valve a bit. It sounds pretty good - kind of mellow for blown gas, but I guess with the little blower at 8% under and fat fuel, it should sound mellow. It has collector headers which go down under the floorboards which can shroud a lot of the noise too.
It was funny watching these guys - none of them have run a blown injected motor before. The bottle they had for priming was not nearly what they needed, so they couldn't keep it running. One of them grabbed for the throttle and I told them not to open the butterflys during startup or they may end up with a blower in their face! The driver hit it anyway and POP went the blow-off. Then they opened up the blades to give it another prime and noticed there was some fire in the hat - I was about to pull them back when one of them stuck his face down and tried to blow it out! We all know what happened next - they guys goatee is a bit shorter now

I suggested they get a electric primer...

I also find it amazing when people build cars with no safety equipment because 'the rules don't require it'. This car was obviously built to go 8's or maybe even 7's. The chassis is certed to 7.50. The few shakedown runs the previous owner made were in the high 8's. There's no blower restraint - because the rules don't require one for blown gas. There's no diaper - because the rules for ET don't require it. Sorry - but I wouldn't get into a car that's going to go that fast without things like that. People are crazy...
Well, I'd better get back to it. I know I owe you guys some pics (car, mule, buddys Willys, team mascot....) We'll get there
