sorry to hear the troubles Mike - there's always next week.

at least the track crew was observant enough to shut you down. It might have been a wild ride had they not caught it :o

No report from this weekend. It rained and they cancelled the race. I took the weatherman's advice and stayed home. I did start the car up today just to make sure it still ran. It does.

That's when the neighbors come over to tell me about when they used to own a car exactly like mine. "I see you have a big block huh"? No, it's a "H" block. "What's that?" When I tell them the cubic inch they all say the same thing.... "That's Huge" Yep, that's why they call it a "H" block.

I once had an old guy tell me my 1940 Chevy panel truck would go faster without those wide tires in the back. Said those 6's don't have enough power to turn 'em. If you cut down on friction it'll go faster.

I told 'em "I had a V-8".

Cool,Gary cool
When Susan's uncle saw the MLC pickup,I couldn't get him to understand that it was a street rod.I finally told him it's a 72 Nova with a 52 Chev truck body on it.

**** September 22nd Race Report. *****

Sorry, there isn't one. One of the cylinder heads sprung a water leak during the warm-up and it kept us from racing today. This head is not easy to remove without removing the engine from the car, so we're going to call a hault to this season. We only had three races left of this season anyway, so there was no great loss. On the bright side, nothing broke.

Next season, BIG TIRES!!
