We have a block!

I traveled out into the middle of nowhere Michigan and picked it Saturday.

It looks pretty good. The repair came out pretty clean. The new girdle and main caps look good.

The only bit of work left is the bores need touched so that the sleeves will fit again. They did the main and cam journals, but since they didn't have a sleeve to know the dimensions they didn't touch the sleeve bores. I figured it was better to get it home where I've got some control over its schedule, then I can worry about finish machining. It's going over to the machine shop this afternoon...

Got a PM from Perry a few minutes ago, here is what Billy drew...my job is to make it into a printable format. I have it scanned and will draft it in FreeHand10 to get all the lines the same width and get it all lined up in precisely the same direction, align them perfectly, make an eps file out of it for the printer, etc...and put color in it. We made a similar one for Nitro Madness a couple of years ago and I still have the file...it's your call all the way here, Perry. This is a layout: you decide if you like it or not and let us know what colors you'd like. We both have ideas, but it's your car and your statement, so feel free to elucidate (is that a word?) and I will comply...I wanted you to see it before I go and work it all up, because it could either be a bullseye or not what you had in mind...no problemo, either way! Cheers, WC1

I like it Cat! It's about what I had been thinking about. I was looking around at some of those funky fonts the other day to see if I could find a font that looked 'chaotic'. Billy did a pretty good job of capturing it.

I'll run it past the rest of the team and see what they think. (My 11 year old amazes me regularly with his artistic ideas..)
