Hardee’s to Sponsor ADRL—Two Join Forces for Georgia’s Largest Ticket Giveaway

O’FALLON, MO (Apr. 10, 2008) — Hardee’s, the popular fast-food restaurant chain, has signed on as the title rights sponsor for the American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL’s) 4th annual Hardee’s Georgia Drags May 9-10, at South Georgia Motorsports Park and soon will begin distributing complimentary tickets to the event in what promises to be the largest ticket giveaway promotion in the state’s history.

"The ADRL sponsorship provides Hardee’s with a unique opportunity to bring tens of thousands of new customers through our doors,” said Tim Weigel, Director of Field Marketing. “This kind of exposure made it an easy decision for Hardee’s to get involved. We understand the ADRL set a new attendance record at South Georgia Motorsports Park last season and with Hardee’s help we expect to shatter that mark this year.”

More than 20 Hardee’s outlets in the region will take part in the ticket giveaway, which will distribute more than a quarter of a million complimentary passes to the Hardee’s Georgia Drags. Additionally, several ADRL cars and stars will be making appearances at select Hardee’s restaurants in the weeks leading up to the event, with appearance schedules to be released soon by the participating restaurants.

The Hardee’s Georgia Drags is the third of nine eighth-mile drag racing events being staged this year by the Flowmaster American Drag Racing League presented by the National Guard. The event will feature Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme, the quickest and fastest full-bodied drag racing cars in the world.

“This partnership, with another nationally recognized brand like Hardee’s, speaks volumes about the ADRL’s unique method for delivering world class entertainment to a broad and diverse fan base,” said ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune. “We are thrilled that Hardee’s has partnered with the ADRL to bring the Hardee’s Georgia Drags to the people of South Georgia and North Florida the ADRL way … absolutely free!”

1320X Launches July 4th – BIG $$$ Purses!!!!

It’s billed as a celebration of a lifestyle-community of racers who love the sport of grassroots drag racing, fast cars and great music. But it’s much more than that.

From the producers of PINKS brings a series of regional drag racing events held around the country to combine the racing with a festival atmosphere, a manufacturer’s midway and a car show, all merged to provide filming content for the www.1320x.com web portal. Spectators will also play a major role in the series as voting will take place to award their favorite cars with prizes and the chance to compete in a “shootout” at the end of the day.

Four distinct classes will be represented, Open Comp, Grudge, Outlaw Drag Radial and Outlaw 10.5.

The following purses will be awarded:
OUTLAW 10.5: $10,000 to WIN, $2,000 to RUNNER UP and $500 for SEMI’S. It is a maximum of 50 cars with a 16 car field.

OUTLAW DRAG RADIAL: $5,000 to WIN, $1,000 to RUNNER UP and $250 for SEMI’S. It is a maximum of 50 cars with a 16 car field.
OPEN COMP: $1,000 to WIN, $250 to RUNNER UP and $100 for SEMI’S. It is a maximum of 300 cars.

The Grudge category will involve a person applying online to race each other, after which the 1320X staff will select ten matches to be filmed and placed on the 1320X.com’s video portal. To apply online go to 1320x.com, only 10 pairs will be accepted.
