Mickey thompson aluminum rods

Postby stimpy » Thu May 26, 2011 4:10 pm

I have a incomplete set of aluminum Mickey thompson Poncho rods from a old blown up 421 alky motor I bought , anyone have a Idea who manufactuered them for Mickey as they are realy nice , I know I doubt I can get the M/t name on them just want find out the history of them . theres a code of wrc 80000 on the back and they use sps H1452 rod bolts and a forged star and big V on the front .

any Ideas ??

On the funnycar board there is a group who have built a pont funnycar. They have what appears to be a lot of Pontiac info. I would try them or google for the Pontiac car club and try the members there. Hope it works out,

Here is a link to the thread. Eric Larson who runs the Grocery Getter Wagon with his friend would be a good contact to ask.

This is the Classic Funnycar board owned by Justin Grant. It doesn't have a lot of Pont stuff on it, but there is a thread or two about the boss bird Pont powered funnycar. That is why I thought you might get an email address from one of the guys who know about this car and the details.

Mongo does have a BBC in his, but keeps up with the Poncho stuff alot. He knows of some pont board that he goes to quite often.

ya I know mongo from that board . and have left that board due to some politics that the owner needs to resolve . if you talk to him tell him I said hi! ( was stimpy there too ) and thanks for the info Randy . now get back to work on the car!!!
