Benton got washed out with no rescheduling date. :( I lost Friday to rain, as well, so I'll have to settle for the Win/RU at Sikeston for the year so far. Speaking of CRS Syndrome, once I though about it I realized this was the first Memorial Day I've had off in twenty-eight years.
I think in this case that skill has more to do with it than theory.
Nah. Not many people realize it but I've run a Drag Racing School for twelve years and, trust me, the sport is all physics. The only skills required (other than guts and common sense) are the ability to erase emotions and control respiration. All other aspects can be taught and learned. Over five hundred successful graduates can't be wrong!

Most of my wins came in my old '76 Corvette although I'm up to 31 wins in rental cars now.

I was proud of the Grand Marquis when it won the World Series in '05 and '06. I've won a dozen national events but Cordova was a major goal. The Marquis also got me my weirdest win; a 15-week indoor series championship run from November '06 through March '07!

As for cloning it, they're a few hundred thousand Grand Marquis/Crown Vics out there ready-to-race for under $1500.

At the '06 World Series, we went for a Winner's Circle Record and may have gotten it:

I'll bet Bret CAN name everyone in that pic!

And hey... I DID say "APPLIED WITH SKILL."

It's just that Bret has reached deep inside the numbers to expose the real science of this sport... it's not magic and luck...

Congrats again, Bret! bp
