It was great meeting Perry and his son Steve. Just now getting up here to post anything, so didn't mention the meeting until this latest installment of our World Tour 2006 post... Perry is a super guy, but totally modest about the amazing car he's built and drives... and Steve is such a great kid. Jason took photos on his cell phone and once my technologically challenged behind figures out how to send them to my email account, I'll post them... bp

Looks like we're going to head over to Dragway 42 this Saturday for their Nostalgia race. It's just a single class, everybody run, bracket deal, but it should be a fun time since it's a pre-'72 class.

I want to get a couple passes on the car to see if I can back up the straight run that it made in Kentucky. If it's going straight I may tweek the throttle stop a little bit. The blue suede cruise race at Norwalk next weekend is an 8.60 index class - and several of the cars registered can run 8.60's. It would be nice to run close to them anyway.

Ended up staying home this weekend due to rain.

We were getting ready to go and it was raining. Logged on to the weather site and it was calling for a 90% chance of rain until 2, then a 60% chance till 6. Since the eliminations were scheduled for 3, I figured it wasn't worth the fuel, entry money, and frustration of watching the rain from inside the motor home. We decided to stay home.

Next weekend is a 3 day event at Norwalk. I figure it can't rain out all 3 days - we ought to be able to get a few runs in.
