Hi Perry, the solenoid was junk, PLUS, we have to machine 92 thou off the starter housing. It says in the directions you should have 100 thou give or take 40 thou between the end of the starter gear and the flywheel when it's just mounted sitting there. We have a bunch more than that. You then must take the housing off the starter and machine off the starter motor end of the starter housing!!

We called CSR this morning. Told them the starter had never been used before yesterday. He said, yeah but you bought it 14 months ago...sorry no warranty. But we will sell you a solenoid for $36 bucks.

Called JW, they said go down to the parts store, buy a Mitsibishi starter for a 91-93 360 mopar and bolt it on.

I said, you sure? He says,....just do it.

I said, yeah, but you must cut the little end snout off the rear or machine the JW hole for the end snout right? He says...oh yeah, forgot about that!

I said no biggie, I'll just hacksaw it off. He says..OK.

Now we have a 350 dollar starter and a $162 dollar starter and it still hasn't started yet.

I keep repeating to myself........remember, this is fun.....remember, this is fun........

I love dragracing and someday I'll get to try it.

If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.
