Got the header tube tacked together today.
Welded it up. Not real happy with the welds, but it's stuck together Ann E. Weigh.
The tube clears the frame rail now. Shot a little paint on the tube to keep the rust down 'til I can get it re-coated. Might have to grind 'em down & lay a nutter bead on 'em B4 I send 'em in. I'll have to give that some thought.
Pulled the engine out, so I can start rebuilding the firewall.
that's what I did today.

It's probably just the angle in the pic, but is the lower strut control arm going to get precious close to your new header tube when the chassis comes down?

Yea Perry it's just the picture angle. There's about an inch clearance between the strut arm and the vertical section of the header. With the exception of that one tube I'm surprised how well they fit. These headers are meant for a round tube chassis.

That's what I figured, but thought I'd check since I've got nice little dents in my header tubes that match up to my upper a-arms...
