I really apolgize for not getting back to anyone. :( It's been a weird different summer. I won't be there this year. :( :( Like all the others that aren't there I will be in spirit. This is depressing as I was sure I could swing it somehow. I know all will have a blast and I miss all you guys. :D I'll be online as much as I can watching for posts.

Hi everybody!!! Spaghetti's is now CLOSED for business (no wonder we got the recording). There is a bar next door called Woodies with a nice outdoor volleyball court, but we are here to DRAG RACE!!!

SO... here is the new place... SISTERS! Jer, Cheryl and I just checked it out. It's a nice place with a nice menu and a PARTY ROOM that we can take over!

Sister's Restaurant
1107 A Ave. West
641-676-1627

It's on the same side of the street as the hotel, about one mile down (towards town). It's a TINY parking lot, so the big rigs should come to the hotel first and then shuttle down in smaller cars.

Lots of Draglisters showing up.... will have a full report later...

SEE YOU AT SISTERS!!! bp

Hi everybody. Had a great meal at Sisters with a room all to ourselves and plenty of great company! One major bummer is that American Airlines screwed our pal WildcatOne and canceled his Dallas to Des Moines leg of the trip without warning, AFTER he got to Dallas! After several frustrating encounters, he eventually booked standby passage back to Houston and got back home last night. We hope he can find something direct from Houston to our area today, but it is not looking good. Sorry, John.

Many of the other gang members were here and enjoyed dinner together. Here is a list (hope I don't leave anyone out). BP and family, Stimpy and family, Jerry and Cheryl, Lippy and family, Novel-T, Slick Vic and son, Norb and Bonnie Locke, Rapid Randy and family, Pro70 and family, Mike Cassella and family, and Zappy and family. I told the restaurant that we needed room for 20... we actually ended up needing room for 30. And many are not even here yet...

Many of the gals went shopping and many of the guys and gals went down to the track. More bench racing ensued. We talked with Gerald, who welcomed us again with open arms. He and I had a nice discussion about future plans for the event that I'll be exited to share once they solidify.

Looking forward to a great day tomorrow, but missing the pals that are not here. And especially the ones who got so close, only to be vanquished by the people they paid good money to get them here... bp

Sorry to hear about your flight problems WC. We really looked forward to seeing you again. If you do find a way that would be stupendous, but if not, we'll start plans for DLN's III. I was surprised that Jeff's caar pulled as well as it did. I don't know the scale numbers but the trailer rides a good 1'' to 1 1/2'' higher with the caar as opposed to the track loader & attachments, ect. Didn't even know the thing was behind me.

Sept. when I looked in the Mirror of course'   sceered me a couple times. Thought we had a tailgater.
