lol...good luck on the tranny deal....

"Clyde" is my homemade 1985 Motorhome / Toterhome / Daily Driver / Work Van......
It resembles a U-Haul van cab / Box.....without the Mom's attic over the cab..(I have an air dam, off of a semi up there for "aero" purposes...also hides my A/C unit quite nicely)
It is powered by a MUCH worn out 460 gas burner....I can sleep in there, cook in there, shower in there and "other" bathroom necessities, as well as carry sign materials and ladders inside....I'll email you a couple of pics of it and my trailer, "Patch"...(that is also homemade...converted from an open trailer to an enclosed).......LOL...I name most everything

Well, I got pretty close to getting old leaky back among the living this weekend. intake is back on, dist. is in. Cleaned and painted a couple brackets. Purchased a new water pump at Advanced Auto (grrrrr..... I don't like that place) spread out some paper in the driveway and painted it.

It looked so pretty wearing it's new "chevy orange" hue. It was sunny and hot and it was dry in no time. Went to install it... It was for a big block!!

So a very un-happy Doug drives all the way back to Advanced with a very big scowl on his face and asks for the manager.

Luckily, he SOMEHOW noticed that I was not a happy camper and gave me the corect part without actually noticing that the other one was painted.

That, however, ended my day as I promised my son that we would go visit the grand parents and go swimming.

We went to the super chevy show yeasterday. It was again very hot. Brian thought the Nitro Coupes were the cooles thing ever but was not too hip on the jet dragsters.
He really liked the little astro van wheelie car. That guy is pretty talented, 1/4 mile wheel stand and going through the traps at 9.xx

I would have liked to have gotten the motor back together but we had fun just the same.

OH YEAH.....

In keeping with the theme of this car... Street sleeper.. I needed a set of rear wheels but I wanted to keep steel rallyes.

I found a pair in 15x8 with a 5" backspace.
New in the box. 120 bones. Not too shabby, I thought.

Stuff happens.

You want to know the best part of the show?

We were watching the Jr. Dragster Semi's.

Brian stans up next to me, takes off his ear muffs (yes, I make him wear ear protection), looks at me and says, "Can I drive one of those little race cars when I get big?"

To which I answered, "ABSOLUTELY!!"
