Yawn...stretch...
Ya know, that is something I have thought about...a kind of "before and after" thing. I have a few of these that I didn't delete the original and just keep the final picture. I have posted some over at RetouchPro.com...I put Vic's Camaro/Pro Mod conversion up over there, also Lippy's dragster, the color conversion of Curt Wasson racing the King Cuda, and one I did for Cityking Bill of his grandmother from a wedding in 1912. Lemme see if I can start a thread with that stuff in it today. Thanks, that's a good idea! I made another front shot last night and sent it to Vic before I called it a night and I will continue developing that picture today off and on as I juggle it between doing my laundry (cats have laundry, too), doing BP's web page project (it's the front page for a guy with a hunting outfitter company), Vic's FC getting sideways off the line, and this idea...then the SUPER BOWL...
Yesterday, I went something like 10 straight hours on those pictures, I know what my limits are, and after about 8 hours I start making mistakes and losing perspective. I get too far into it and after a while I am virtually inside the picture, ya know. I start hanging out in there. It's hard to describe how that works, but it becomes a separate reality and I don't see it anymore from out here because I'm no longer out here, I'm in there...
I've been thinking about saying this so I'll go ahead and say it now: I want to thank my friends at DragList.com for keeping me busy and focused during the "off-season". It went by fast, with all the stuff I've had so much fun doing. Most of you guys have been busy with upgrades to your cars or just outright got new ones to fix up, so I know you've also had your hands full during these winter months, and I have kept busy with graphics projects about them and we've had a lot of laughs and good times...sure beats sitting around waiting for another season with nothing to do but watch the calendar and think about it, ya know. This has been the most productive and creative "off-season" I've ever gone through. It's been fun! As far as I can tell, it could go another month and I'd be cool with that, but it's kicking off next weekend, and that's OK too! Here we go again...
