We took a ride out east for the 4th of July weekend and ran two tracks.
The first was Friday night, July 3rd, at Dunn Tire Raceway near Lancaster, New York. It is an eighth mile track.
For our first run, we tried a lower tire pressure on the advice from the Hoosier rep and some other folks. We were trying to get the tires to spin a bit at the hit, but that didn't work. The car left very hard and was jumping around all the way down the track. I lifted a bit early, running a 6.05 at 109. I'm glad I lifted early cause the chute would up in the wheelie bars for the first time ever. I made the turn off without any problems.
For the second run, we put the air back up and tried a second gear leave in hopes it would be a bit calmer. It wasn't. It hiked the front wheels up and danced around a lot. I was in and out of the throttle several times and ran a 5.80 at 124.

On Saturday morning we drove to Salem, Ohio to run at Quaker City Raceway for their July 4th event.
For our first run we added a pound of air. The car left great but hooked a bit to the left and I lifted, straightened it out, and got back in it. It was going good till my visor fogged up enough to where I couldn't see and I lifted. It ran an 8.61 at 149.
I leaned the injector down 5 for the second run and left everything else the same. The car left good, made a small move to the left again that I was able to drive through, and ran an 8.01 at 165. The motor was blubbering in high gear and needs to be leaned on some more.
The car does really handle nice and I believe the new front spoiler is helping, as well as all the other mods we've made recently.

A big thank you goes out to D.J. Johnson for helping us at both tracks and to Johnny Kilburg and Chris Gerber for their help at Quaker City. We would have had a heck of a time without their help as I only had one crewman, Kenny Dodds, with me.
Thanks a bunch guys.
