Pete, thanks for the photo link.
Moats is using GRP rods also. V.Gaines owns the company and several others connected to racing.
Larry Laverty and I were friends for 45 years.

Well I am not a MASTER MACHINIST, or engine building guru to the stars, and this is only the 3rd engine in my life that has blown up. So take this for what it is worth,,,,,

It appears that either a rod bolt pulled out or the rod cap broke in the bolt area. The block should be fixable. It didn't destroy the cam journal area or anything. The crank appears fixable, while looking at it in the block anyway.

So, bad but not as bad as it could have been.

You kids have fun. I am leaving tomorrow morning for CHHR. 8)
