Here's some pics I took this afternoon - Len's new racecar looks even better than I thought it would. It's an aftermarket fibreglass 1995 Corvette with a chrome moly Alston tube chassis, Lamb struts and Willdwood brakes, Konis, polycarbonate windows, Engine is a 540 with Pro 1 heads, 1250 Dominator, .250 long rods, Wiseco pistons but the previous owner had no idea of the cam specs. We've got some tweaking to do in a few places but it's still a nice piece. It's a lot lighter than Len's old super Gas 1969 Camaro at around 2150 with driver. Nice paint job too - now all we need to do is remove some decals and use a bit of elbow grease and it will look even better.

Being as I was there I took a couple of pics of my "lost and found" 1968 Firebird. Len powerwashed 5 years worth of tree sap and pine needles off of it last week and it's only marginally worse than it was when I gave up on it back then. Botton pic shows all the floor cut out from the back of the front subframe. Five years ago I put solid mounts and a manual box and a bunch of new front end parts on it. Hope to have the rear frame, tinwork and rearend in it by Xmas(fingers crossed)

The Vette Looks like a very nice car. I can't wait to see it with the polished aluminum belt driven hood scoop and polished injector on the top. Oh Yeah, and it needs an alky fuel tank.

Serious, nice purchase. 8)

That Vette is sweet!
And the Camaro looks like it has good prospects.

Just got back from the Cape Breton Dragway Annual Awards Banquet. Picked up my 4th place trophy for the points chase(top), a neat clock for volunteering during track setup and teardown(middle) and(huge surprise) the "Rookie of the year" plaque(bottom). It came a quite a shock after being retired from racing for 30 years. When that was announced the place went crazy and I was "high fived" all the way to the podium. Good thing for the full beard 'cause I was embarassed as heck and was probably red as a beet too LOL.

Great stuff, Don! Especially Rookie of the Year! Good going! The Vette is a fine car, now I know what that Firebird graphic was that you asked for...Cheers, WC1
