My favourite concert may just happen this coming Thursday night right here in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Going to see Willie Nelson & the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Better Half has already got Willie tapes jammed in every machine in the house....

Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy about a year or so ago. GREAT SHOW..

BB King outdoors when I lived in NY.. He was with Buddy Guy too now that I think about it.

Chris Duarte... Always a good show.

Kenny Wayne Sheppard band several years ago.

All the "hair bands" in the 80's..

Monsters of rock, that was cool.

I don't think I have ever been to concert that i didn't enjoy. :D

Hey Doug.. This is great, man. I saw Eric about a year ago also, and have seen Duarte about 10 times. Too bad John Jordan isn't with him anymore. I have a copy of the video footage of the first time I saw Chris in 1995, on VHS. Got a copy from Craig. Chris has people that are like Dead Heads.. follow him all over the U.S
Did you go see him on the "Me and Mr. Johnson" tour? That's when I seen him and it awesome. Clapton has not lost a step, for sure. His covers of the old R. Johnson songs were awesome.

I have seen Chris Duarte a few times in small clabs years back. He's excellent.

My biggest let down though is never seeing SRV live.
I'm a huge fan. I was in Dallas last year for work and drove to Austin to see the statue.

Having said that.... It was Jimmie Vaughan that opened for Clapton.

Yep.. it was the Me and Mr Johnson tour, at the United Center in Chicago.
You got that right.. what an awesome show. Robert Randolph opened for him.

I hate to tell you this, but I saw SRV twice. 1984 and 1985, when he was still doing smaller venues. Truly awesome. I sure would like to see the statue some time.
It's 6th Street ( I think) in Austin.
Matter of fact, I went Austin Harley Davidson to get t-shirt and he is on the back.
Yeah, I missed out big time.
Hendrix was dead before I was born, I would have loved to have seen one of his shows.

Seems like a great many of the good ones were taken young.

ZZ Top and the Kinks in Dublin Jumping Stadium - Dublin, Ireland

There was a group of us in Ireland for college trip. We had a free day in Dublin and were wandering around and saw this poster for the concert. So we went.

Talk about an unusual combination - Top and the Kinks. It was opened by some local group.

It was wild watching all of the Irish kids go bonkers over an American rock band.

Clifford Antone died this week. He helped SRV get his career started. Here is some press about him. Cheers, WC1
