Last night was ETown's 36th Annual NIGHT OF THRILLS... There were Nostalgia Funny Cars on the bill, including "Crazzzy" Jake Crimmons, "Nitro" Nick Bonifante, Dave Sano's
"Screaming Insanity", Hanna's "Eastern Raider"... Altereds too, like Duane Beers and Jim Gifford.... Pro Mods, including Andy Jensen, Tommy Grey, Matt Deitsch, Vinny Dimieri... Mother Nature cooperated and gave us a night of full grandstands and grand slam performances... I have some of the highlights in today's blog, including some ETs and MPH stats...

As you may or may not already know, Drag Racing Underground's Rusty Ebberly was at the "GEEZERS AT THE GROVE", and he passed on the "real skinny" of the event to yours truly... In the latest developments, rumors are circulating from personnel who worked the event that "Jungle" Randy Liberman and Army Armstrong (of "Texas Jungle" F/C fame) are no longer welcome at The Grove... I find that to be disturbing and delve further on the issue in my truth seeking blog... I also discuss the final verdict in the Casey Anthony trial, which I find to to be downright disturbing...

I also enjoy your blogs on dragracing. But, I'm afraid I must be one of your "boneheads", when it comes to the Anthony trial. I feel it is wrong for the media to vilify the jury when all they did was to step up to the plate when asked,(none volunteered) and serve their civic duty. The jury reached the only verdict that they could based on the evidence, not innuendo. The prosecution did the best they could, with what they had – the problem is, they had nothing.

Thanks Wildcat, I'm glad that you genuinely appreciate my perspective and seasoned journalistic chops, combined together on my daily Drag Racing Underground Blog Page, and yes, I do try to mix the hard facts along with my personal opinions to create an entertaining and informing window for my readers to peer into, a window that hopefully offers them a clear view of how I perceive numerous issues, whether they be straight ahead drag racing related issues, or the controversial mainstream news of the day (drag racing issues also occasionally come with controversy as well) -- And often I find what's going on in drag racing runs eerily parallel to the stories we see on the evening news-- Drag Racing has its good and evil just like the "outside world"-- And I report on it all with honesty, integrity, and a little tongue 'n' cheek critique to help make the proverbial medicine go down... I'm very happy that the "cyber traffic" for my blog has surpassed even my wildest expectations, especially since it's a relatively new blog on the drag racing internet-- I'm proud and humbled to be the most downloaded gal on the drag racing web-- I'm extremely grateful to all my readers for that-- I truly am... Zappy, I respectfully agree to disagree... I believe prosecutors did offer up plenty of evidence that could have easily convicted Casey Anthony if the circumstances of sentencing were different, however, it's my opinion that the jury simply couldn't stomach the possibility of Casey being put on death row as a result of them coming back from deliberations with a guilty verdict... It's my belief that despite the heinous crime that Casey committed, the thought of her being put to death weighed too heavily on the jurors' consciences... Therefore, the jury's fear of Casey losing her life, enabled Casey to take her daughter's life and walk out of jail with the promise of phat book deals, made-for-TV movie deals, and lucrative TV interview opportunities... This time, evil won out... I certainly respect your right to disagree... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
